Being the producer for a hybrid film has presented me with many equally exciting and stressful challenges. Our film required a completely custom pipeline with all hands on deck to find new and creative solutions to achieve the end goal of our film. As we worked all the way from pre-production to post-production, we have had to be surprisingly crafty! Much of my job has been organizing the ideas and expertise of my team and setting up the schedule and resources to get the job done.

Since this film is our senior capstone and therefore affiliated with the school, we have certain guidelines that we must adhere to, which includes the software and programs that we use to organize ourselves. For this film we primarily used ShotGrid (aka Autodesk Flow) to stay organized, with the support from Dropbox for larger files.

I created an extensive Masterlist for the production, creating a single file that has many of the resources and answers any of our crew may be looking for was enormously helpful and the sheet has only evolved and grown as I myself have throughout the film. Communication
For the majority of our communication, I set up a Discord server and organized it so we can easily see what everyone is working on at a time. I have found that this platform also makes every aspect of the film more accessible to every member of the crew and allows for more ideas and better communication to flow! I also coordinated group work sessions and in-person meetings on top of our digital communication tools.

The Future
Alienated! is currently running through its last few festivals, and will become available to watch online soon! We have been updating things on the film's Instagram and website as we go, and our team has been attending as many festivals as we can!
